Description:
Ottawa Riverkeeper is a citizen-based action group that brings people together to protect and promote the ecological health and diversity of the Ottawa River and its tributaries. Expert and independent, our organization advocates for responsible decision-making, public education, participation, access to information, and compliance with protective regulations, for the benefit of our river and our communities.
We take action to defend the Ottawa River, and to influence decisions that affect the health and future of the river. We work collaboratively, to enforce protective regulations and seek effective solutions. By providing clear science-based information, we aim to engage the public and empower citizens to become advocates for the protection of our river and our communities.

Ottawa's tap water is rated amongst the safest in the world. Did you know 3L of water is used to package 1L of bottled water
It takes over 1.5million barrels of oil to meet the demand of US bottled water manufacturing.
We recommend phoning ahead to confirm the special and to try to reserve a spot.
This is a good post. We have some of the cleanest water available at the turn of a tap and yet people are so quick to turn to a bottle - which is the same water from the same source.

This restaurant is crap. They only serve water, which I can get at home.

April 17, 2010 - Shoppers drug Mart has their bottled water on sale this week. $1.99 for 24, that's about 8 cents each. Go grab some!!!

Seems like a dumb place for this sort of message. Not a fan of this sort of activism. I came to this site to look up restaurant food deals, not read more preachy crap.
By the way, I only drink tap water.

you could try Activated Carbon filters, they are excelent in the process of dechlorination :D aswell as filtering while getting rid off many elemnents you don`t want to drink, such as microbes. So buy your Carbon Filter and your Aluminum Btl.

The reusable ones are the best. They don't degrade over time and release toxins. They're also cheap and cost around 5 bucks, or about 1 case of bottled water.

I also think the taste of city water is terrible. I always have bottled water with me in the car or at sporting events, not only for the convenience but also for health benefits. I make sure I always dispose of the bottle in the proper recycle bin.

Buying bottled water based on 'taste' is preposterous, Canada has some of the safest water in the world. Get over it.

I live in West Carleton but sometime I have to go in the City and stay overnight at friend’s places. I always bring with me bottle water. The tap water taste terrible and has a "background" taste of chlorine..

I totally agree! Bottled water just creates extra waste, and wastes tons of water. If you need water on the go, get one of those chrome waterbottles. They are amazing, reusable, and bets of all environmentall friendly!
